Extensive X5 rental pool includes impression X5, impression X5 Compact and impression X5 IP Bar
CGS Dry Hire has been offering a full range of event technology products for over 20 years, providing customers with convenient, individual solutions. With over 5,000 loudspeaker systems and more than 3,000 lighting fixtures in stock, the company based in southern Germany supplies customers worldwide.
As one of the first dry hire companies, CGS decided early on to adopt GLP’s new impression X5 Series. Following investment in the impression X5 Wash and impression X5 Compact, another X5 family member is now being added: impression X5 IP Bar 1000.
The impression X5 IP Bar 1000 has almost identical features to the X5 Bar 1000 (18 × 40W RGBL, 195° motorised tilt, super-fast 4.5°–60° zoom, iQ.Gamut colour algorithm and much more), but is also equipped with a weatherproof (IP65) housing.
CGS currently has 100 units of the weatherproof version of the X5 IP Bar available, and the company is already thinking about increasing the number.
GLP key account director Oliver Schwendke introduced the weatherproof bar to the CGS team – and it was an open door, as Josef Reichenstetter, head of the lighting and sound technology department at CGS, explains: “The impression X5 IP Bar is an updated successor to the enormously successful X4 Bar available, which has also been made weatherproof. The IP65 protection class makes the X5 IP Bars suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects, which multiplies the conceivable application scenarios. Thanks to the global recognition and popularity of the X4 Bar, as well as GLP’s undisputed expertise in the field of moving LED bars, we also expect continued high demand for the impression X5 IP Bar 1000.”
