GLP impression X4 Series

LED Change

GLP delivers the impression X4 series product range from now on with a new LED Chip.  All RGBW fixture series are affected.

Not affected are the impression X4 theatre fixture series

Details

The change to a new LED chip is necessary because the old type is discontinued from the supplier and the shipping quantities which are needed for a stable production are not guaranteed anymore.

The original LED package type Osram Ostar will be changed to an Osram Ostar Stage type, which has a slightly different color binning.

To match the known color characteristics as much as possible, the change of the LED chip will affect other fixtures components, too, such as LED Drivers and LED PCBs. So a continuous usage of the fixture series is possible.

Still, there is a minor, but noticeable difference when using and mixing colors with the white element of the LED.

For the most relevant products GLP will offer LED Refresh Kits on a low price level. The Refresh kits includes LEDs and if needed all necessary electronic components.

Please discuss with your GLP Service if a refresh kit is suitable for your product.

New LEDs - Starting Serial Number Range

Based on the first 3 digits of the serial number, fixtures with the new LEDs can be easily identified: 

• impression X4 S : 110 XX - XXXXX 
• impression X4 : 110 XX - XXXXX
• impression X4 L : 120 XX -  XXXXX
• impression X4 XL : 110 XX - XXXXX
• impression X4 Bar 10  : 120 XX - XXXXX.
• impression X4 Bar 20  : 120 XX - XXXXX
