Flexibility. Family. Future. Reloaded: Successful Prolight + Sound

The GLP team is now back from Frankfurt and can look back on successful and moving days at the fair. After the cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the excitement was immense to be able to return to Prolight + Sound this year.

Even more than in previous years, this fair seemed to be carried by the spirit of a "class reunion of the industry". The sheer joy of reuniting and networking was clearly noticeable everywhere.

The GLP stand was fortunately one of the main attractions in Hall 12.1. The generous hospitality area provided space for the need for personal discussions with customers, colleagues and friends. The quality of visitors to the fair was high, which more than made up for the lower quantity. The general mood was remarkably relaxed, which seemed fitting for both exhibitors and visitors.

"We were able to spend some great days in Frankfurt," says GLP Managing Director Udo Künzler happily. "Good discussions with customers and lots of emotional moments revived the spirit of the big GLP family."

On the product side, Prolight + Sound 2022 was also a major success. The impression X5 Compact, which was presented for the first time, was just as popular as its previously presented brother, the impression X5. "The response from visitors shows us quite clearly that we are on the right track with the new X5 series," adds Künzler.

Another show premiere was the XDC1, an impressive fusion of X5 wash qualities and raw JDC1 strobe power. It is noteworthy to mention here that a large number of the units are already proving their versatility and performance on Ed Sheeran's current world tour.

Also the new products of FUSION by GLP - CREOS and X-PAR 12 Z - were able to convince the trade show audience and will certainly be used for the first time in the near future.

"We are very satisfied with the results of our exhibition and will continue with the concept tested here for the time being, i.e. we will forego a large light show in favour of a generous hospitality area with excellent coffee and good food.”
